The Heraldry of the wild Temptation Print is a theatrical meditation on human excess, desire, and the characters we become when indulgence overtakes restraint.
Above and below the crest coils a Serpopard the ancient mythological creature that combines a serpent and a leopard. It has made appearances in some of the oldest artworks in human civilization, especially in early Mesopotamian and Egyptian art from around 3500–3000 BCE. The serpent symbolizes chaos, temptation, consciousness while the leopard represents raw power and instinct and order.
The Serpopard is Thèria’s interpretation of the devil. Here, the devil is not portrayed as evil, but as something far more human: the flaw within us that leans toward indulgence, impatience, and temptation. Regal and glittering with jewels, the creature is seductive rather than sinister. It’s presences as it pertains to our story is one of symmetry and cosmic balance representing forces humans cannot fully control. It’s living its duality as two opposing forces woven into one being.
When two serpopards appear facing each other, their intertwined necks symbolize unity between opposing forces, there is cosmic balance. You will find this when woman take rightful ownership of positions of power and there is a long time of peace.
In the home, the wallpaper feels both dramatic and playful. It reads like a living tapestry - a surreal aristocratic fable about human nature, reminding us that the devil is rarely something outside of us. More often, it is simply the part of ourselves that wants too much, too quickly, and too beautifully to resist.
